As benefits someone whose hobbies have encompassed
such wide-ranging interests as breeding guinea pigs and reenacting Viking
battles, the subject matter and materials in my work are fairly diverse.
Works can be paintings in oil, gouache or watercolour. Sometimes they
are collages, or montage constructions in boxes. Most of the work is representational
or symbolic and the scale is usually small, which is quite fortunate since
I travel around galleries by motorcycle.
I like to exhibit frequently, sometimes in group shows with other studio
members, sometimes in Opens and sometimes with a one person show. My last
one person show was an exhibition of my boxes entitled gConfined Spacesh
at Ludus in Lancaster, which finished at the end of November 2003.
I do not know why I make art, it just feels like it was something I was
put on Earth to do, and I am not nearly good enough at doing it yet.
