My paintings were produced over the last two years of
the twentieth century- a period that roughly coincides with my involvement
with Luneside Artists Studios.
I am aware of many influences both ancient and modern, from art's
long and illustrious history. These influences include Joan Miro,
J W M Turner, Eugene Delacroix, Robert Rauschenberg, El Lissitzky,
the fabulous caves of Lascaux and of course Picasso - to name a few.
I feel my art work is a distillation of my personal experiences and
reactions to the complex and rapidly changing field of existence that
is the latter half of the 20th century and beyond.
I now divide my time between working for the NHS as a state registered
art therapist and as a member of Luneside Studios. |
