	Group exhibitions with STAG and LYC Gallery at various venues including, Alston, Brampton, Haltwhistle (Northumberland) and Tullie House, Carlisle
	Took part in gEdinbugh 101h for six consecutive years with Richard Demarco. This event coincided with the Edinburgh Festival
BIOGRAPHY
1955- 60	Apprentice as engineering draughtsman
1960-63	Studied art at Sunderland College of Art
1964-79	Painted mainly abstract landscapes in the Western Northumberland/East Cumberland area
1968	Founded South Tynedale Artistfs Group (STAG) ca group of artists and writers whose aim was to raise artistic awareness in the rural locality
1970	Involved with Lanercost Group based at a gallery run by painter Li Yuan Chia and Winifred Nicholson. Aims were similar to STAG
1979	Closure of local steel foundry meant end of regular work
	Artistic activity halted while studying for Nursing qualification
1982	Started painting again ? figurative work more prominent.
1984	Moved to Lancaster
